Grimm's annual cycle
Each of the twelve segments of the annual circle represents a month (dark blue = January, to purple = December). A candle or, for example, a marble moves one hole further each week, for instance, at the end of each week. A suitable peg from the peg assortment can be inserted into the inner hole of each segment. Something typical of the respective month, a birthday present, a thick candle, or other items can be placed in the bowl. A lovely addition to the annual circle is the daily circle. This allows children to vividly understand the cyclical nature of the year, the cycles of the months, and the succession of the seasons.
