Ingredients for Vegan Semolina Chocolate Banana Cake with Nuts

  • 200 g ground hazelnuts, almonds or a mix of both
  • 200g organic spelt semolina or grits
  • 50 g spelt flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 2 brown bananas and 4 dates (dates and bananas can also be replaced by 400g of brown sugar)
  • If bananas and dates are not enough sweetener, you can add an additional 50g of raw cane sugar or a sugar alternative.
  • 3 tbsp cocoa for baking
  • Cinnamon to taste
  • 350 ml oat or coconut drink
  • Nuts for sprinkling, as desired.

For an extra chocolate note, you can add about 100g of vegan dark chocolate drops to the dough mixture.
